Alpha ESS not reconnecting

Hi. Alpha ESS recently did a significant server upgrade(?) and I have also been having issues with a fault on my system. I went to charge my Tesla for the first time after the fault resolved but it wasn’t appearing on Charge HQ. I disconnected and attempted to reconnect, which has worked in the past, but it hasn’t this time. I tried using the check code option as well but I got this error ’ Http failure response for

https://api.chargehq.net/api/config/send-alphaess-code: 0 Unknown Error’

There is an ongoing issue with AlphaESS, caused by a major upgrade to their cloud service. We will publish updates to this outage here: Status

This issue appears to be resolved.

Hi Jay, I’m still not able to add my AlphaESS battery to Charge HQ. I disconnected it during the outage and connected Charge HQ directly with my solar inverter. Currently the app is still returning Error: Failed to send verification code. Please check your details and try again.

For those who have previously connected their AlphaESS and need to reconnect, try the following:

  • Enter your battery Serial number
  • For Check code, enter “1”
  • For Verification code, enter “1”
  • Click Connect

You should not need to request a new verification code if you have connected in the past.
