Car not charging though there is plenty of excess solar

Using ChargeHQ to manage my car, why doesn’t my Tesla automatically start to charge from excess solar when I get home in mid afternoon? There is plenty of excess solar available, powerwall is at 99% and EV is set to have priority. No other App controls the car (I checked the tesla.com list of Apps having API access and removed any third-party key to the car except ChargeHQ key). It’s 15:30 and export rates are not that great. Could it be Tesla prevents car from starting to charge so it can export excess solar to grid? Car does charge when i instruct it to Charge Now via ChargeHQ. Really wish it’d automatically start to charge though. Thank you

The Charge HQ home screen should tell you why Charge HQ wants to charge or not. Some messages have more detail - try tapping them. If you post a screenshot of the home screen when it’s not doing what you expect we’ll be able to offer more help. Cheers.

Thanks Jay. I suspect this issue arises because I had set the Schedule in Tesla’s App to allow charging from 00:00 to 18:00 each day. In reading ChargeHQ’s documentation, it says Tesla has a limitation whereas a car getting plugged > 6 hours after the start of the Schedule window will not automatically charge when plugged (hence, if I plug at 14:00, I am well past 6 hours since 00:00). I believe setting multiple Schedules in Tesla App no longer than 6 hours each should fix the issue. I will test and revert back. Thank you
