I realize this sounds really similar to other posts, but those didn’t help me. I’m on Day One of my trial period, and loving the UI so far, but there’s something that I’m not understanding. On the app’s Home screen I see my car (Tesla Model 3), but the status is stuck on “Stopped”, with a spinning circle next to it. The settings are to prioritize charging the batteries (2 Powerwalls), until they’re charged to 75%. Right now they’re charged up to 87%, and it says “Solar charging available”, but there’s no EV charging going on. I’m so new to this that I’m afraid I’m missing something really obvious, but I have no pride.
Hi there. Charge HQ is repeatedly trying to start charging on your Tesla but charging is not starting and there is no error in the logs. I’d suggest looking at the vehicle touchscreen for errors, then try starting using the Tesla app, then try starting using the vehicle touchscreen. Let us know how it goes.
Hi Jay, thanks for the quick response. Yeah, I do think the problem is with the car. After posting here, I went out and did a "two-button restart’, after which the Charge HQ app briefly showed the car getting some charge. Interestingly, though, neither the Tesla app nor the vehicle’s touch screen reflected anything of the sort. And within a minute, neither did Charge HQ. I’m going to play around with it, but we’re in the midst of cloudy & rainy weather here in Sunny California, so it may be a while before I can do any serious testing. One quick question, though: does it matter what the charge settings are in the Tesla app? I’m wondering if Charge HQ supersedes whatever those settings are, or if I need to configure the car’s settings in a particular way. Thanks again!

I experienced the same issue on that day. I have a feeling there might have been an issue with waking the car up. I forced the car to wake up on my Tesla app and that triggered the charging session with excess solar.
