I am in the trial period and have used the app once so far to charge off solar. I have a GoodWe inverter and my Tesla wall charger connected to the app. I’m trying to understand if ChargeHQ knows how much power my house is using to alter the charge rate of my car and if so how does it work? Or is it just getting the amount of solar and going off that and my home usage is possible drawing from the grid?
Your solar inverter should have a Consumption Clamp installed, and reported back to the inverter on the home usage. The inverter monitoring system then pushes this information out to Charge HQ.
The energy flow diagram on the home screen of Charge HQ should indicate if you have a (supported) energy meter or not. If you have a supported meter, the home screen will show power values for the house and the grid.

Thanks for the info. Would have been nice for the energy supplier to mention such things. Guess that’s what I get from not being able to pay up front with a regular installer so if I want that functionality I need to have one of those 3 meters installed?
