Hi, wondering if someone can explain if this is expected behavior… I have two schedules to charge, 12am->5.45am @ 6amps to get off-peak charging rates, 11am->1.45pm for free rates @ 15amps and 2 blackout periods, 2pm->11.45pm and 6am->9am.
I plug in my car so it can charge from 12am and stops at 5.45am, which is expected, however it starts charging again at 9am at the scheduled 15amps. is this the expected behavior? I would prefer not to set blackout period from 6am->11am as my partner may want to charge in the morning.
The default amperage is set to 6amps.
Any help or suggestions which may explain the behavior is appreciated.
Hi @psilord . If scheduled charging is enabled, and there is no solar present, charging should stop outside of the schedule periods.
There is no need to configure blockout periods: they are only useful if another feature can cause charging to occur, ie solar tracking or the Always Charge Price. Since you are not using any of these other features, there is no need to configure blockout periods as they will do nothing.
If charging is occurring outside of schedule periods, if you email the details to [email protected] we can investigate. Please include your Charge HQ email address and the date and time, and what you expected to happen.
Cheers,
Jay.
Thanks Jay, will email chargehq.net. The charging behavior was not expected.
