Love the solar tracking feature. Today it only has the option to select either battery priority or EV priority.
Is there a way to combine scheduling with solar tracking i.e. something like solar tracking between the hours of 8am - 11am to charge the EV followed by prioritizing the battery and if the battery is full and the EV is still connected, send the excess solar to the EV.
Goal is to be able to utilize excess solar in the morning to charge the EV and use the excess solar in the afternoon for the battery
This idea of mixing the battery and EV priority is what I came to the forum to suggest a feature and I’m glad someone is thinking about it.
As a slight variation on this timing idea, or an addition, I would suggest that setting a proportion of excess solar that goes to the battery and the EV could do similar to enhance it.
I have found that when I am manually managing the EV charging I set the charge rate of the EV so that it is about 50 to 70% of the battery so that I can charge the EV in the morning. It slows the rate of charge of the house battery and gives a level of confidence when there is rapid cloud cover leaving enough current to avoid drawing off the grid.
