Currently, when Stop mode is selected, charging will restart when the next scheduled period begins. The rationale for this design choice is that scheduled charging is usually important, Stop mode selection is usually for some temporary reason, and the user may have forgotten it’s in Stop mode.
But there’s an alternative view that Stop mode should stay stopped until the vehicle is unplugged.
Whenever there is doubt like this, we choose the option which results in charging, as we believe that waking up to a car that didn’t charge is worse than unwanted charging.
