I’m getting negative numbers for the solar level on the home screen. It appears to be using the amount of power (kW) i am sending to the grid, rather than the kW coming from the roof.
The auto setting also no longer charges the car. It often says the level is too low when though I check and there’s enough solar (and I’ve exceeded the 5kW minimum and 2kW buffer I’ve configured).
I think this is because the battery is charging, so the solar going to the grid is zero, and since it’s using that number for the solar amount, it doesn’t charge.
I have a goodwe inverter.
Thanks!
Hi @bryanjrollins . Do you have a Goodwe hybrid inverter with a battery attached? Unfortunately Charge HQ does not support Goodwe hybrid inverters, because the Goodwe API does not provide all the required data for hybrids. As you’ve discovered, Charge HQ can only obtain the solar generation data, not the battery or grid import/export data.
We’ve asked Goodwe about support but they haven’t given any information.
Thanks Jay! It used to work perfectly, but now it doesn’t. I thought you had introduced hybrid support over a year ago but maybe I didn’t understand what Andrew and I had discussed.
Good luck with Goodwe. Honestly they have terrible support for integrations and partners. I wish I would have bought anything else!
